Northern Michigan Relief Sale

Join us for the 57th annual renewal of the Friday and Saturday in person relief sale at the wooded Oscoda County Fairgrounds with lots of RV and campsites available. Friday is a day of visiting, good food and quilt viewing, garage sale and used books. The evening is highlighted by a concert. Saturday starts with pancake and sausage breakfast before the 9:30 a.m. auction begins.

Friday’s Preliminary Events

Garage Sale – starting at 9 a.m.

Used Books – all day Friday and Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

Food available throughout the day – starting at 8 a.m.

Produce on sale all day Friday as well as baked goods and the mercantile booth

Hand crafted wood and fabric items, hand woven rugs, and much more

Open House –  the open house will prove to be an interesting evening to view the many items that will be sold on Saturday. Fresh produce, Global Crafts (Imported items) and other selected items will be open to buyers, as well as a silent auction from  4 – 9 p.m.

Relief Sale Run – sign up at 6 p.m.,  run starts at 7 p.m.
Medals for finishers under 20 years old and Relief Sale T-shirts to overall winners (men and women)

Gospel Concert starting at 7 p.m.

Family Movie Night starting at 9 p.m. (or whenever it gets dark)
Enjoy a movie for the family under the beautiful warm August stars.

Saturday’s Events

Shops open – 7:30 a.m.

All you can eat whole hog sausage, buttermilk pancakes with pure maple syrup, coffee and juice  – served from 6 – 10 a.m.

Quilt Auction – 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m.

General Auction – from 9:30 – 11 a.m., approximately 12 p.m., and again following the 1 p.m. quilt auction

Roast pork & sausage sandwiches, sloppy joes, pies and drinks, garden produce, hot dogs, donuts, home made ice cream, CHICKEN QUARTERS and more … served throughout the day.

Blessing bids this year will offer opportunities to support the work of MCC in various areas, including assisting MCC partners in Ukraine as they work to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people impacted by the war in their home communities.
